Abstract
In order to separate selected animals from a herd, the animals are brought to a sluice (11), particularly towards sluice-type fodder stands (11, 12, 13) comprising a computer for the identification and computer-controlled fodder distribution, and additional devices for the control of outlets (14, 15, 16) or passages (24). The separation of selected animals is obtained particularly by the fact that at least parts (17) of those outlets are movable, particularly pivotable, the outlets (15, 16) or the passages (25, 26, 27) opening out, as a result of said mobility, in different outlet areas.
Description
Verfahren und Vorrichtung zum Absondern ausgewählter Tiere aus einer Tierherde Method and device for separating selected animals from a herd of animals
Beschreibungdescription
Technisches GebietTechnical field
The invention relates to a method and a device for separating selected animals from an animal herd.
Stand der TechnikState of the art
When maintaining and in particular keeping fattening or breeding cattle, there is always the requirement to separate individual animals selected from certain herds from an animal herd in order to check, for example, the state of health, the weight, the state of pregnancy and the like features to be able to initiate measures derived therefrom, such as in particular veterinary treatments or feeding measures. If such segregation of individual animals occurs by searching for and removing them from the herd, it is known that there is great unrest in the herd, which is detrimental to the development of the animals. This applies all the more if such measures are required on an ongoing basis, as is usually the case.
Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention
The invention is therefore primarily based on the object, these inconveniences and shortcomings of the to avoid customary animal husbandry and to create the possibility of separating selected animals from a more or less large herd in such a way that it remains largely unnoticed by the number of animals and if possible by the individual animal to be separated little is noticed.
Such an object can be achieved according to the invention in that the animals are led individually into a lock, in particular a feeding station and prevented from reversing, and that they are then selected, in particular after the feed has been taken up, by opening appropriate outlets and be secreted. The selection can be controlled automatically, for example with the help of computer-controlled feeding systems known per se, which control the selection and opening of the outlets by means of identification devices attached to the animals, with appropriate additions to the computer devices.
In addition, the invention provides a device for separating selected animals from an animal herd, which is particularly suitable for carrying out the method described above and which has a lock which allows entry of only one animal and is in particular designed as a feeding station, which after the Entry of an animal can be blocked and in which, according to the invention, the lock is provided with one or more controllable outlets leading into different exit spaces. Such an outlet can be designed in a simple embodiment in such a way that a reversible connection passage is connected to a controllable passage in the lock wall, in particular in the immediate vicinity of the feeding point, the outlet of which clears with different exits is connectable to the animals. Such a connecting passage itself can be designed in many different ways. For example, it can be pivotally attached to the passage of the lock wall with one end freely movable and can be brought into juxtaposition with the inlets of different exit spaces with its other end. As a rule, it is sufficient to provide a partition in the connecting passage connected to the outlet of the lock, which can be pivoted in the manner of a switch and in one or the other of two end positions allows passage to only one exit. Such a reversible connecting passage can, if necessary, be connected several times in succession if a selection is desired according to more than two criteria. However, a modification can also be made in such a way that if, for example, a selection based on three criteria is desired and accordingly three outlets to different outlet spaces are required, two independently controllable partition walls are provided, each one between two Outlets lying pivot point are pivotable and can be moved with their free ends into the system on a connecting gangway wall or a partition.
Kurze Beschreibung der ZeichnungenBrief description of the drawings
The drawing shows a device for separating selected animals from a herd of animals which allows the special method according to the invention to be carried out, with the parts which are essential for understanding in a schematic form as an example with two possible embodiments, and shows:
Fig. 1 eine besonders einfache und in hohem Maße erweiterbare Ausführungsmöglichkeit,1 shows a particularly simple and highly expandable design option,
Ausführungsarten der ErfindungFig. 2 shows a modified embodiment with a pivotable connecting passage. Embodiments of the invention
Das sich durch eine Identifi¬ zierungseinrichtung ausweisende Tier bekommt rechnergesteu¬ ert das ihm zugedachte Futter und kann danach den Futter¬ stand, durch die nachfolgenden Tiere getrieben, durch einen Auslaß 13, den sich das Tier gegebenenfalls aufstossen muß, verlassen.1 is based on a feed stand for computer-controlled feeding of individual animals of a large herd of animals, in which the animals enter a lock 11, at the head end of which there is a feeding trough 12. The animal identified by an identification device receives the feed intended for it under computer control and can then leave the feed stand, driven by the following animals, through an outlet 13, which the animal may have to push open.
Such a feeding station 11, 12, 13 can, according to the invention, be used to carry out an informal removal of selected animals from a herd if special measures are taken which enable a reliable separation. It is assumed here that a computer, such as is used in automatic feeders of this type, can easily be equipped or supplemented in such a way that it can trigger certain measures which are necessary to control the secretion of selected animals . According to the invention, these measures are additionally triggered by the identification devices which are already required for feeding the feed as soon as the animal has been identified. These measures are to be described below, without the order in the description being important for the rank of such a measure in the entirety of all measures. Rather, the description is given in essentially chronological form for reasons of easier understanding.
As soon as an animal has entered the lock-like feeding station 11, access for further animals is indicated by a v-- closed rear gate 19 or the like. The animal is then or subsequently identified and this triggers the feed allocation and at the same time or delays the opening of a passage 13 provided in the vicinity of the feed trough 12 in the lock 11, through which the animal enters a connecting passage 14 which in the illustrated embodiment has two outlets 15 and 16 in separate exit spaces. As a rule, both outlets should be closed by gates, which can be designed as swing gates that can be pushed open by the animals. The selection and separation of the individual animals is carried out by means of a partition 17 which is pivotably articulated in the connecting passage 14 between the two outlets 15 and 16 and which, under computer control, can move between two end positions, one of which has its freely pivotable end on one side wall of the connecting passage 14 abuts, while in the other end position it is in contact with the other side wall. In each of these two end positions of the pivotable partition 17, the passage is only free to one of the two outlets 15 or 16, while the other is blocked. Depending on the position of the partition, the animal can either get back to the herd or into a separate exercise room.
If, for example, the animals separated by the connecting passage are also divided up according to further criteria, only one further connecting passage piece 141, as indicated in the drawing by broken lines, is needed to one of the exits, such as 15. - if necessary, also to be connected to both outputs 15, 16 - in order to be able to carry out a further division and removal in this connecting passage with the aid of the pivotable dividing wall 171 which is adjusted in accordance with the identified identification. In the case of the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, a feed stand 21 corresponding to that of FIG. 1 is again assumed, which has a feed trough 22 and an outlet 23 in the wall next to it. A pivotable connecting passage 24 is connected to this outlet 23, which can be opened and closed by a controllable gate 231. This connecting passage 24 can be pivoted from the position shown in FIG. 2 into the two positions shown in dash-dot lines, and in each of these positions the freely pivotable end 241 of this connecting passage 24 comes into opposition to one of the inlets 25, 26, 27 lead into different exit spaces. The adjustment of the verb * is done in-dung Ganges 24 computer-controlled according to the intentions of the animal on the identification devices in the computer characteristics.
