Q Lösliches, vernetzbares Acrylatcopolymerisat, Verfahren zu seiner Herstellung und Überzugsmittel auf der Basis des Acrylatcopolymerisats
5 Die Erfindung betrifft ein lösliches Acrylatcopolymeri¬ sat, erhältlich durch Copolymerisation von Monomeren mit mindestens zwei polymerisierbaren, olefinisch unge¬ sättigten Doppelbindungen, Monomeren mit mindestens einer vernetzbaren Gruppe und weiteren pόlymerisierba- Q ren Monomeren.
Aus der gattungsbildenden EP-A-103 199 ist ein Acrylat¬ copolymerisat bekannt, welches erhalten worden ist durch Copolymerisation von 10 bis 95 Gewichts-% t-Butyl-
«g acrylat, 0,1 bis 3 Gewichts-% polyfunktioneller Mono¬ merer, wie beispielsweise Trimethylolpropantriacrylat, 1 bis 30 Gewichts-% Comonomerer mit einer funktionellen vernetzbaren Gruppe und 0 bis 80 Gewichts-% weiterer polymerisierbare , ethylenisch ungesättigter Monomerer. aQ Als Comonomere mit einer funktionellen vernetzbaren Gruppe werden carboxylgruppenhaltige und hydroxylgrup- penhaltige Monomere genannt. Die verzweigte Acrylat¬ copolymerisate werden mit Polyepoxiden oder veretherten Amino-Formaldehyd-Harzen vernetzt. Die Vorteile der
3_ Überzugszusammensetzungen gemäß der EP-A-103 199 be¬ stehen darin, daß die daraus erhaltenen Überzüge eine gute Feuchtigkeitsbeständigkeit aufweisen, und daß die Überzugszusammensetzungen einen hohen Festkörpergehalt
aufweisen können.
Die Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung bestand darin, die Eigenschaften der Überzugsmittel bzw. der Überzüge auf der Basis von Acrylatcopolymerisaten zu verbessern in Hinsicht der Beständigkeit gegenüber langfristiger Belastung durch Chemikalien, Lösungsmittel, in Hinsicht auf die Benzinfestigkeit, die Elastizität der auf Basis^ der Überzugsmittel erhaltenen Überzüge, der Korrosions¬ beständigkeit und in Hinsicht der Beständigkeit gegen¬ über langfristiger Belastung durch Wasser bzw. Wasser¬ dampf. Die Zusammensetzungen sollen gegebenenfalls bei Raumtemperatur oder bei leicht erhöhter Temperatur aus¬ härten und damit beispielsweise in der Autoreparatur- lackierung einsetzbar sein. Weiterhin soll unter ande¬ rem aus wirtschaftlichen Gründen ein hoher Festkörperge¬ halt der härtbaren Überzugsmittel bei relativ geringer Viskosität erreichbar sein. Diese Aufgabe wird über¬ raschenderweise durch ein lösliches Acrylatcopolymeri- sat gelöst, welches einen höheren Anteil an einpolyme- risierten, mehrfach ethylenisch ungesättigten Monome¬ ren aufweist als die in der EP-A-103 199 beschriebenen Acrylatharze. Im Vergleich zu linearen Acrylatharzen und den Acrylatharzen gemäß der EP-A-103 199 kann bei den erfindungsgemäßen Acrylatcopolymerisaten eine nie¬ drigere Viskosität bei relativ hohem Festkörpergehalt erzielt werden. Erst durch die erfindungsgemäßen Reak¬ tionsbedingungen während der Copolymerisation lassen sich Anteile von mehr als 3 Gewichts-% an mehrfach unge¬ sättigten Monomeren in das Acrylatharz einbauen. Durch die stark verzweigte Struktur des Copolymerisats wer¬ den die funktionellen Gruppen des Harzes reaktiver, was einen großen Vorteil mit sich bringt.
Die der Erfindung zugrundeliegende Aufgabe wird durch das eingangs genannte lösliche Acrylatcopolymerisat gelöst, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß es erhält¬ lich ist aus
al) mehr als 3 bis 30 Gewichts-%, bevorzugt 5 bis 25
Gewichts-%, Monomeren mit mindestens zwei polymeri¬ sierbaren, olefinisch ungesättigten Doppelbindungen
a2) 5 bis 50 Gewichts%, bevorzugt 10 bis 35 Gewichts-%,
Monomeren mit einer vernetzbaren Gruppe, außer Hy- droxyl- und Carboxylgruppen und
a3) 20 bis 92 Gewichts-% weiteren Monomeren mit einer polymerisierbaren, olefinisch ungesättigten Doppel¬ bindung,
wobei- die Summe von al, a2 und a3 100 Gewichts-% be¬ trägt.
Bei den Monomeren der Komponente a2 handelt es sich um in der Literatur bekannte Comonomere mit einer belie¬ bigen, vernetzbaren funktionellen Gruppe außer Hydrxyl- und Carboxylgruppen. Aus der US-PS 4,401,794 ist ein
Polymer bekannt, welches erhalten worden ist aus Isocy- anatoalkylestern einer ungesättigten Carbonsäure und anderen polymerisierbaren Monomeren. Dieses Isocyanat- gruppen enthaltende Polymer wird mit Wasser gehärtet.
Aus der EP-B-20 000 sind Polymere aus Monomeren mit aktivierten Estergruppen, beispielsweise Methylacryl- amidoglykolat, bekannt. Als Vernetzer für diese Polyme¬ re eignen sich Verbindungen mit mindestens zwei primä¬ ren oder sekundären Aminogruppen pro Molekül. Die Här¬ tung kann bei Temperaturen um Raumtemperatur bis etwa 200 °C- durchgeführt werden. Aus der DE-AS 20 64 916 ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von hitzehärtbaren Pulvern bekannt, wobei das Pulver aus einem epoxid- gruppenhaltigen Mischpolymerisat und einer vernetzbaren
Verbindung mit Carboxyl- oder Aminogruppen besteht.
Erfindungsgemäß können als Komponente al Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel

Beispiele für derartige Verbindungen sind Hexandioldi- acrylat, Hexandioldimethacrylat, Glykoldiacrylat, Glykoldimethacrylat, Butandioldiacrylat, Butandiol- dimethacrylat, Trimethylolpropantriacrylat und Tri- methylolpropantrimethacrylat. Selbstverständlich kön¬ nen auch Kombinationen dieser mehrfach ungesättigten 'Monomeren verwendet werden. Weiterhin ist Divinyl- benzol geeignet als Komponente a . Weiterhin kann die Komponente al vorteilhaft ein Um- Setzungsprodukt aus einer Carbonsäure mit einer poly¬ merisierbaren, olefinisch ungesättigten Doppelbindung und Glycidylacrylat und/oder Glycidylmethacrylat oder eine mit einem ungesättigten Alkohol veresterte Poly- carbonsäure oder ungesättigten Monocarbonsäure sein.
Ferner kann vorteilhaft als Komponente al ein Um¬ setzungsprodukt eines Polyisocyanats und eines unge¬ sättigten Alkohols oder Amins verwendet werden. Als Beispiel hierfür sei das Reaktionsprodukt aus einem Mol Hexamethylendiisocyanat und 2 Mol Allylalkohol ge¬ nannt.
Eine weitere vorteilhafte Komponente al ist ein Di- ester von Polyethylenglykol und/oder Polypropylengly- kol mit einem mittleren Molekulargewicht von weniger als 1500, vorzugsweise von weniger als 1000 und Acryl- säure und/oder Methacrylsäure.
Die weiteren polymerisierbaren Monomeren der Komponen¬ te a3 können vorteilhafterweise ausgewählt sein aus der Gruppe Styrol, Vinyltoluol, Alkylester der Acryl- säure und Methacrylsäure, Alkoxyethylacrylate und Aryl- oxyethylacrylate und der entsprechenden Methacrylate, Ester der Malein- und Fumarsäure. Als Beispiele seien genannt Methylacrylat, Ethylacrylat, Propylacrylat, Butylacrylat, Isopropylacrylat, Isobutylacrylat, Pen- tylacrylat, Isoamylacrylat, Hexylacrylat, 2-Ethylhexyl- acrylat, Octylacrylat, 3,5,5-Trimethylhexylacryla , Decylacrylat, Dodecylacrylat, Hexadecylacrylat, Octa- decylacrylat, Octadecenylacrylat, Pentylmethacrylat, Isoamylmethacrylat, Hexylmethacrylat, 2-Ethylbutyl- methacrylat, Octylmethacrylat, 3,5,5-Trimethylhexyl- methacrylat, Decylmethacrylat, Dodecylmethacrylat, Hexadecylmethaerylat, Octadecylmethacrylat, Butoxy- ethylacrylat, Butoxyethyl ethacrylat, Methylmethacry- lat, Ethylmethacrylat, Propylmethacrylat, Isopropyl- methacrylat, Butylmethacrylat, Cyclohexylacrylat, Cyclo- hexylmethacrylat, Acrylnitril, Methacrylnitril, Vinyl- acetat, Vinylchlorid und Phenoxyethylacrylat. Weitere Mono ere können eingesetzt werden, sofern sie nicht zu unerwünschten Eigenschaften des Copolymerisats führen. Die Auswahl der Komponente a3 richtet sich weitgehend nach den gewünschten Eigenschaften des Acrylatcopoly- merisats in bezug auf Elastizität, Härte, Verträglich¬ keit und Polarität. Diese Eigenschaften lassen sich zum Teil mit Hilfe der bekannten Glasübergangstempe¬ raturen der Monomeren steuern.
Vorteilhafterweise kommen als Monomeren der Komponente a2 Isocyanatgruppen enthaltende Monomere in Frage. Besonders bevorzugt sind hierbei Isocyanatoalkylester ungesättigter Carbonsäuren, die der allgemeinen Formel

Als Beispiele seien Isocyanatoethylacrylat und Isocya- natoethylmethacrylat genannt. Weitere geeignete Isocy- cyanatgruppen enthaltende Monomere sind zum Beispiel Vinylisocyanat und 1 : 1 Ums.etzungsprodukte von Diiso- cyanaten mit Monomeren mit aktivem Wasserstoff. Als Beispiel hierfür sei das 1 : 1 Umsetzungsprodukt aus Isophorondiisocyanat mit einem hydroxylgruppenhaltigen Monomeren genannt.
Die Monomeren der Komponente a2 können besonders bevor¬ zugt aktivierte Estergruppen enthaltende Monomere sein, die der folgenden allgemeinen Formel entsprechen:

Als besonders bevorzugt ist hierbei Methylacrylamido- glykolatmethylether zu nennen. Weitere aktivierte Estergruppen tragende Monomere sind Methylacrylamido- glykolat und Methylmethacryloxiacetat.
Die Monomeren der Komponente a2 können auch Alkoxy- methylacrylamide oder Alkoxymethylmethacrylamide der allgemeinen Formel

Werden in das erfindungsgemäße lösliche Acrylatcopoly- merisat Monomere mit einer aktivierten Estergruppe oder Alkoxymethylacrylamide bzw. Alkoxymethylmethacryl- 5 a ide einpolymerisiert, so können als weitere Monomere mit einer polymerisierbaren, olefinisch ungesättigten Doppelbindung bis zu 10 Gewichts-%, bezogen auf das Ge¬ samtgewicht aller Monomerer, hydroxylgruppenhaltige Monomere und/oder bis zu 5 Gewichts-%, bezogen auf 10 das Gesamtgewicht aller Monomerer, carboxylgruppen- haltige Monomere in das Acrylatcopolymerisat einpoly¬ merisiert werden.
Als Monomere mit einer zur Vernetzung befähigten Grup¬ pe pe seien Monomere genannt, welche Glycidylgruppen ent¬ halten. Die Glycidylgruppen enthaltenden Monomeren der Komponente a2 sind vorzugsweise Glycidylester unge¬ sättigter Carbonsäuren oder Glycidylether von unge¬ sättigten Verbindungen. Als Beispiele seien genannt:
20 Glycidylacrylat, Glycidylmethacrylat, Glycidylester der Malein- und Fumarsäure, Glycidylvinylphthalat, Gly- cidylallylphthalat, Glycidylallylmalona .
Die Erfindung betrifft auch Verfahren zur Herstellung _5 der er indungsgemäßen löslichen Acrylatcopolymerisate, die dadurch gekennzeichnet sind, daß zur Herstellung der Acrylatcopolymerisate

5 wobei die Summe von al, a2 und a3 100 Gewichts-% be¬ trägt, in einem organischen Lösungsmittel bei 80 bis 130 °C, vorzugsweise bei 90 bis 120 °C, unter Ver¬ wendung von mindestens 0,5 Gewichts-%, vorzugsweise Q mindestens 2,5 Gewichts-%, bezogen auf das Gesamtge¬ wicht der Monomeren, eines Polymerisationsreglers und unter Verwendung von Polymerisationsinitiatoren zu einem vorvernetzten, nicht gelierten Produkt copolyme- risiert werden. Durch die erfindungsgemäßen Poly eri- 5 sationsbedingungen läßt sich überraschenderweise eine klare, transparente, nicht gelierte Lösung eines ver¬ zweigten Copolymerisats herstellen. Durch die Verwen¬ dung von Monomeren mit mindestens zwei ethylenisch un¬ gesättigten Gruppen wird eine Vorvernetzung der Copoly- Q merisatmoleküle hervorgerufen, die aufgrund der erfin¬ dungsgemäßen speziellen Reaktionsbedingungen trotzdem . nicht zu gelierten Produkten führt.
Vorteilhafterweise werden als Polymerisationsregler 5 Mercaptogruppen enthaltende Verbindungen verwendet.
Dabei ist darauf zu achten, daß bei Herstellung eines Acrylatcopolymerisats mit Isocyanatgruppen als Regler Mercaptoverbindungen mit tertiären SH-Gruppen, wie bei¬ spielsweise t-Dodecylmercaptan, verwendet werden. Ver¬ 0 wendet man bei der Herstellung eines Acrylatcopolyme¬ risats mit aktivierten Estergruppen Mercaptoethanol als Regler, so sollte die Polymerisationstemperatur 80 - 90 °C möglichst nicht überschreiten.
Weiterhin ist es notwendig, Initiatoren bei der Poly¬ 5 merisation einzusetzen. Hierbei eignen sich insbeson¬ dere Peroxiester und/oder Azoverbindungen. Die Auswahl
10 des Initiators richtet sich nach dem Anteil der einge¬ setzten mehrfach ethylenisch ungesättigten Monomeren. Bei niedrigem Anteil kann man die für solche Tempera¬ turen üblichen Initiatoren, wie zum Beispiel Peroxi- ester, verwenden. Bei höherem Anteil an mehrfach ethy¬ lenisch ungesättigten Monomeren werden vorzugsweise Azoverbindungen als Initiatoren eingesetzt.
Die Polymerisation zur Herstellung des löslichen Acry- latcopolymerisats wird so durchgeführt, daß eine
Lösung des Polymerisats mit einem Festkörpergehalt von 40 bis 65 Gewichts-% resultiert. Nach der Polymerisa¬ tion wird die Polymerisatlösung durch Abdestillieren von Lösungsmittel auf den gewünschten Festkörpergehalt konzentriert, vorzugsweise auf Festkörpergehalte von
60 Gewichts-%. Die so erhaltenen klaren Copolymerisat- lösungen besitzen, auf einen Festkörpergehalt von 50 Gewichts-% eingestellt, eine Viskosität von 0,4 bis 10 dPa.s.
Die Erfindung betrifft auch Bindemittel, organische Lösungsmittel, gegebenenfalls Pigmente, Füllstoffe und übliche Hilfsstoffe und Additive enthaltende sowie ge¬ gebenenfalls durch Katalysatoren härtbare Überzugs¬ mittel, enthaltend als wesentliche Bindemittel die zu¬ vor beschriebenen löslichen, vernetzbaren Acrylatcopo¬ lymerisate und zur Vernetzung derselben geeignete Bin¬ demittel.
Die Isocyanatgruppen enthaltenden Acrylatcopolymerisa¬ te können erfindungsgemäß mit einem Polyalkohol und/ oder einem Polyamin vernetzt werden. Als geeignete Polyalkohole kommen alle Verbindungen mit mindestens zwei Hydroxylgruppen pro Molekül in Frage. Dabei sind einfache Diole und Polyole, wie Ethylenglykol, Propan- diole, Butandiole, Glycerin, Trimethylolpropan, ein¬ setzbar. Weitere geeignete Polyalkohole sind Polyester-
polyole und Polyacrylatpolyole. Geeignete Polyamine sind alle Verbindungen mit mindestens zwei ver¬ netzenden Aminogruppen pro Molekül. Als Beispiele seien genannt Polyamidoamine, Di- und Polya ino-Alkyl- und Arylverbindungen, Diethylentriamin.
Die Erfindung betrifft auch Überzugsmittel, die da¬ durch gekennzeichnet sind, daß sie als wesentliche Bindemittel lösliche Acrylatcopolymerisate, welche Monomere mit aktivierten Estergruppen sowie Alkoxy- methylacrylamide oder Alkoxymethylmethacrylamide ein- polymerisiert enthalten und Di- oder Polyamine, welche mindestens zwei primäre oder sekundäre Aminogruppen pro Molekül enthalten und/oder einen Polyalkohol ent¬ hält.
Geeignete vernetzende Di- oder Polyamine sind bei¬ spielsweise 1,2-Ethylendiamin, 1,3-Propylendiamin, 1,2-Butylendiamin, 1,4-Butylendiamin, 1,6-Hexamethylen- diamin, 1,7-Heptandiamin, Diethylentriamin, Xylyldia- min, 1,2-Diaminocyclohexan, 2, -Bis(4-Aminocyclohexyl) propan und Bis(Hexamethylentria in) . Gut geeignet sind auch Umsetzungsprodukte aus 1 Mol Maleinsäuredialkyl- ester mit 3 Mol Diamin.
Andere geeignete Di- oder Polyamine sind Polyamidhar¬ ze, beispielsweise Kondensationsprodukte aus di eri- sierten Fettsäuren und difunktionellen Aminen, wie bei¬ spielsweise Ethylendiamin. Weitere Aminogruppen enthal- tende Polymere schließen Acrylatharze, Polyesterharze und Polyurethanharze ein.
Als geeignete Polyalkoholkomponente kommen alle Verbin¬ dungen mit mindestens zwei Hydroxylgruppen pro Molekül in Frage.
Die Erfindung betrifft auch ein Überzugsmittel, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, das es als wesentliche Bin¬ demittel das zuvor beschriebene lösliche Acrylatcopoly-
merisat mit Glycidylgruppen und Verbindungen mit min¬ destens zwei Carboxylgruppen oder mindestens zwei pri¬ mären oder sekundären Aminogruppen oder mindestens zwei Hydroxylgruppen pro Molekül enthält.
Als Verbindungen mit mindestens zwei Carboxylgruppen pro Molekül kommen beispielsweise Acrylatharze in Fra¬ ge, welche carboxylgruppenhaltige Monomere einpolyme- risiert enthalten. Als Verbindungen mit mindestens zwei primären oder sekundären Aminogruppen pro Molekül eignen sich die bereits obengenannten Di- oder Polyami¬ ne. Als Verbindung mit mindestens zwei Hydroxylgruppen pro Molekül kommen niedermolekulare Di- oder Polyole, Acrylatole oder Polyesterpolyole in Frage.
Die Erfindung betrifft auch ein Verfahren zur Herstel¬ lung der obengenannten Überzugsmittel, das dadurch ge¬ kennzeichnet ist, daß die zuvor beschriebenen lös¬ lichen Acrylatcopolymerisate zusammen mit der Ver¬ netzerkomponente sowie mit organischen Lösungsmitteln, gegebenenfalls Pigmenten und üblichen Hilfsstoffen und Additiven durch Mischen und gegebenenfalls durch Dis- pergieren zu einer Überzugsmasse verarbeitet wird. Unter der Vernetzerkompohente sind alle Verbindungen zu verstehen, die mindestens zwei funktionelle Gruppen enthalten, die zur Reaktion mit den vernetzbaren funk¬ tionellen Gruppen des löslichen Acrylatcopolymerisats befähigt sind.
Die Erfindung betrifft auch Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Überzugs, bei denen die bereits obengenannten Überzugsmittel, wobei dem Überzugsmittel gegebenen¬ falls ein Katalysator zugemischt werden kann, durch Spritzen, Fluten, Tauchen, Walzen, Rakeln oder Streichen auf ein Substrat in Form eines Films aufge¬ bracht wird und der Film zu einem festhaftenden Über¬ zug gehärtet wird.

Die Erfindung betrifft auch die nach dem erfindungsge¬ mäßen Verfahren beschichteten Substrate.
c Die erfindungsgemäßen Überzüge weisen hervorragende Eigenschaften im bezug auf die Beständigkeit gegenüber Chemikalien, gegenüber Lösungsmitteln, gegenüber Was¬ ser bzw. Wasserdampf auf. Sie zeigen gute Ergebnisse bei der Prüfung auf Benzinfestigkeit. Außerdem sind 0 die Filme elastisch und korrosionsbeständig.
Nachfolgend wird die Erfindung anhand von Ausführungs¬ beispielen näher erläutert:

A) Herstellung erfindungsgemäßer Copolymerisate (Bindemittel A) 0
In den folgenden .Beispielen beziehen sich, wenn nicht anders angegeben, alle Prozentangaben auf Ge¬ wichtsprozent, alle Angaben von Teilen auf Gewichts¬ teile. Die Festkörperwerte wurden in einem Umluft¬ ofen bestimmt nach 1 Stunde bei 130 °C. Die Vis¬ 5 kositäten wurden auf einem Kegel-Platte-Viskosi- meter bestimmt.

In einem 3' 1-Edelstahlkessel werden vorgelegt
Vorlage: 185 Teile Butanol 274 Teile Toluol
Die Vorlage wird auf 80 °C erhitzt, innerhalb 3 h wird gleichmäßig Zulauf 1 zudosiert:
Zulauf 1: 300 Teile -Methacrylamidoglycolatmethyl- ether 275 Teile Methylmethacrylat 250 Teile n-Butylacrylat
25 Teile Acrylsäure 150 Teile Hexandioldiacrylat
45 Teile Mercaptoethanol 200 Teile Butanol
Vor der Verwendung der Zulaufmischung 1 wird die Mischung vorsichtig auf 30 C erwärmt, ein geringer Anteil unlöslicher Nebenprodukte des Methacrylamido- glycolat ethylethers wird abfiltriert, als Zulauf 1 wird das klare Filtrat verwendet. Innerhalb 3.5 h wird Zulauf 2 zudosiert.
Zulauf 2: 36 Teile 2,2'-Azobis(2-methylbutyroni- tril) 60 Teile Butanol 84 Teile Toluol
Die Temperatur während der Polymerisation wird bei 80 °C gehalten, nach Initiatorzulaufende wird 5 h bei 70 C nachpolymerisiert.
Die so erhaltene Acrylatharzlösung hat einen Festkör¬ per von 49,2 %, eine Säurezahl von 36,9 und eine Visko¬ sität von 6,2 dPa.s (original).
Die Dispersität der Acrylatharzlösung beträgt laut Gel- permeationschromatographie 13,34.
Herstellung eines Polya invernetzers A
In einem 3 1 Edelstahlkessel werden gemischt:
957 Teile Toluol
510 Teile Isophorondiamin
Die Mischung wird auf 75 - 80 C erwärmt, innerhalb 2,5 h werden bei dieser Temperatur
144 Teile Maleinsäuredimethylester zudosiert. Danach wird der Kesselinhalt langsam inner- halb von 6 h auf 128 °C erhitzt, wobei
1014 Teile einer Mischung aus Toluol und Methanol abdestillieren.
Zu dem Produkt werden weitere
450 Teile Toluol gegeben und erneut abdestil¬ liert. Lösungsmittelreste werden unter Vakuum bei 80 °C entfernt. Das so erhaltene Produkt wird in
597 Teilen Ethanol gelöst, die Vernetzerlösung hat einen Festkörper von 49,5 %, eine Viskosität von 0,6 dPa.s (original) und ein Aminäquivalentgewicht von 140 + 5.
Acrylatharz II
In einem 3 1-Edelstahlkessel werden vorgelegt
Vorlage: 471,5 Teile Xylol
943 Teile l-Methoxipropylacetat-2
Die Vorlage wird auf 110 C erwärmt, innerhalb von
3 h wird gleichmäßig zudosiert
Zulauf 1 225 Teile Methylmethacrylat
375 Teile Glycidylmethacrylat
300 Teile Styrol
300 Teile n-Butylacrylat 225 Teile Hexandioldiacrylat
75 Teile Butylmethacrylat
67,5 Teile Mercaptoethanol
Innerhalb von 3,5 h wird Zulauf 2 zudosiert; beide Zuläufe werden gleichzeitig gestartet.
Zulauf 2: 51 Teile 2,2' Azobis( -methylbuty- ronitril) 136 Teile l-Methoχipropylacetat-2 68 Teile Xylol
Während des Zulaufs wird die Temperatur bei 110 ° +_ 1 ° gehalten. Nach Ende von Zulauf 2 wird 3 h bei 110 C nachpolymerisiert. Die so erhaltene, klare farblose Acrylatharzlösung hat einen Festkörper von 49,2 % (2 h 100 °C). eine Viskosität von 2,3 dPa.s (original) und ein Epoxidäquivalentgewicht von 615.
B) Herstellung und Prüfung von Lacken mit den erfin¬ dungsgemäßen Copolymerisaten
Beispiel 1
Folgende Komponenten werden miteinander vermischt
35,7 Teile Acrylatharz I 11,9 Teile Vernetzer A
0,3 Teile 2-Hydroxypyridin 18,0 Teile n-Butanol
Von der Mischung werden Filme von 200 #um auf Glas¬ tafeln aufgerakelt und bei Raumtemperatur trocknen lassen.
Nach 5 d Trocknung bei Raumtemperatur wurde gefun¬ den:
Pendelhärte 130' ' Benzintest (5') keine Erweichung, keine Markierung
Dobbelhübe mit Methylethylketon 200 Beispiel 2
Folgende Komponenten wurden gemischt:
25,4 Teile Acrylatharzlösung II 8,2 Teile Vernetzer A 1,0 Teile n-Butanol 1,4 Teile 2-Ethylhexanol
Von der Mischung wurden Filme von 200 /um auf Glas¬ tafeln aufgerakelt und 20' bei 130 C eingebrannt.
Pendelhärte nach Ofen 119' ' Benzintest (5') keine Erweichung sehr leichte Markierung
(nach 10 min reversibel)
Beispiel 3
Die Pigmentpaste wird nach folgender Rezeptur 40 min. auf einer Laborsandmühle dispergiert.

Nach folgender Rezeptur wird ein Decklack ange¬ setzt, mittels Rakel auf Glasplatten aufgezogen (Trockenschichtstärke 40 Utn) , bei Raumtemperatur oder forciert 30 Minuten bei 60 °C getrocknet, 1 Tag bei Raumtemperatur gelagert und dann geprüft.

Claims
1. Lösliches Acrylatcopolymerisat, erhältlich durch Copolymerisation von Monomeren mit mindestens 2 polymerisierbaren, olefinisch ungesättigten Doppel¬ bindungen, Monomeren mit mindestens einer vernetz¬ baren Gruppe und weiteren polymerisierbaren Monomeren, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß es
a-i) mehr als 3 bis 30 Gew.-!, bevorzugt 5 bis 25 Gew.-!, Monomerer mit mindestens 2 polymerisierbaren, olefinisch ungesättigten Doppelbindungen
a.^ 5 bis 50 Gew.-!, bevorzugt 10 bis 35 Gew.-!, Mono- merer mit einer vernetzbaren Gruppe außer Hydroxyl- und Carboxylgruppen und a,) 20 bis 92 Gew.-! weiterer Monomerer mit einer poly¬ merisierbaren, olefinisch ungesättigten Doppel- bindung einpoly erisiert enthält.
2. Lösliches Acrylatcopolymerisat nach Anspruch 1, da¬ durch gekennzeichnet, daß die Komponente a . der allgemeinen Formel

entspricht, in der bedeuten:
R = H oder CH3,
X = 0, NR', S mit R'= II, Alkyl, Aryl n = 2 bis 8. 2o
3. Acrylatcopolymerisat nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekenn¬ zeichnet, daß die Komponente a ein Umsetzungsprodukt aus einer Carbonsäure mit einer polymerisierbaren, olefinisch ungesättigten Doppelbindung und Glycidyl- acrylat und/oder Glycid Imethacrylat ist.
4. Acrylatcopolymerisat nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekenn¬ zeichnet, daß die Komponente a. eine mit einem unge¬ sättigten, eine polymerisierbare Doppelbindung ent- haltenden Alkohol veresterte Polycarbonsäure oder ungesättigte Monocarbonsäure ist.
5. Acrylatcopolymerisat nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekenn¬ zeichnet, daß die Komponente a1 durch Umsetzung eines Polyisocyanats mi.t ungesättigten, polymerisierbaren Doppelbin düngen enthaltenden Alkoholen oder A inen herstellbar ist.
Acrylatcopolymerisat nach Anspruch 1 , dadurch gekenn¬ zeichnet, daß die Komponente a. ein Diester von Poly- ethylenglykol und/oder Polypropylenglykol mit einem mittleren Molekulargewicht von weniger als 1 500, bevorzugt weniger als 1 000, und Acrylsäure und/oder Methacrylsäure ist.
7. Acrylatcopolymerisat nach Anspruch 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die weiteren polymerisierbaren Monomeren der Komponente a, ausgewählt sind aus der Gruppe Styrol, Vinyltoluol, Alkylester der Acrylsäure und Methacrylsäure, Alkoxyethylacrylate und Aryl- oxyethylacrylate und der entsprechenden Methacrylate, Ester der Malein- und Fumarsäure.
8. Lösliches Acrylatcopolymerisat nach einem oder nach mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Monomeren der Komponente a- Isocyanatgruppen enthalten.
9. 'Lösliches Acrylatcopolymerisat nach Anspruch 8, da¬ durch gekennzeichnet, daß die Monomeren der Komponente a- Isocyanatoalkylester ungesättigter Carbonsäuren sind, die der allgemeinen Formel . .

10. Lösliches Acrylatcopolymerisat nach einem oder nach mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Monomeren der Komponente a~ der folgenden allgemeinen Formel entsprechen:

1 1 . Lösliches Acrylatcopolymerisat nach Anspruch 10 , da¬ durch gekennzeichnet , daß die Komponente a, Methyl- acrylamidoglycolatmethylether. .
12. Lösliches Acrylatcopolymerisat nach einem oder nach mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Komponente a? ein Alkoxy ethylacrylamid oder ein Alkoxymethylmethacrylamid der allgemeinen Formel

R = H, Alkyl, Aryl bedeutet.
13. Lösliches Acrylatcopolymerisat nach Anspruch 10, 11 oder 12, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als Komponente a-, bis zu 10 Gew.-!, bezogen auf das Gesamtgewicht aller Monomerer, hydroxylgruppenhaltige Monomere und/oder bis zu 5 Gew.-!, bezogen auf das Gesam - gewicht aller Monomerer, carboxylgruppenhaltige Mo¬ nomere in das Acrylatcopolymerisat einpolymerisiert sind.
14. Lösliches Acrylatcopolymerisat nach einem oder nach mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Monomeren der Komponente a2 Glycidylgruppen enthalten.
15. Lösliches Acrylatcopolymerisat nach Anspruch 14, da- durch gekennzeichnet, daß die Glycidylgruppen ent¬ haltenden Monomeren der Komponente a2 Glycidylester ungesättigter Carbonsäuren und/oder Glycidylether von ungesättigten Verbindungen sind. .
16. Verfahren zur Herstellung des löslichen Acrylatco- polymerisats nach einem oder nach mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 15, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß zu seiner Herstellung
a mehr als 3 bis 30 Gew.-!, bevorzugt 5 bis 25 Gew.-!, Monomerer mit mindestens 2 polymerisierbaren, olefinisch ungesättigten Doppelbindungen
a2) 5 bis 50 Gew.-!, bevorzugt 10 bis 35 Gew.-!, Mono¬ merer mit einer vernetzbaren Gruppe außer Hydroxyl- und Carboxylgruppen und a-. 20 bis 92 Gew.-! weiterer Monomerer mit einer poly- merisierbaren, olefinisch ungesättigten Doppel¬ bindung
in einem organischen Lösungsmittel bei 80 bis 130°C, vorzugsweise bei 90 bis 120°C, unter Verwendung von mindestens 0,5 Gew.-!, vorzugsweise mindestens 2,5 Gew.-!, bezogen auf das Gesamtgewicht der Monomeren, eines Polymerisationsreglers und unter Verwendung von Polymerisationsinitiatoren zu einem vorvernetzten, nicht gelierten Produkt copoly erisiert werden, wobei die Summe der Komponenten a. , a~, a,, a . und a,. 100 Gew.-! beträgt.
17, Verfahren nach Anspruch 16, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als Polymerisationsregler Mercaptogruppen ent¬ haltende Verbindungen verwendet werden.
18. Verfahren nach Anspruch 16 oder 17, dadurch gekenn¬ zeichnet, daß als Initiatoren Peroxyester und/oder Azoverbindungen verwendet werden.
19. Verfahren nach Anspruch 16 bis 18, dadurch ge¬ kennzeichnet, daß die Polymerisation zur Her¬ stellung des Acrylatcopolymerisats so durchge¬ führt wird, daß eine Lösung des Polymerisats mit einem Festkörpergehalt von 40 bis 65 Gewichts- resultiert.
20. Bindemittel, organisches Lösungsmittel, gegebenen- fallls Pigmente, Füllstoffe und übliche Hilfsstoffe und Additive enthaltendes sowie gegebenenfalls durch einen Katalysator härtbares Überzugsmittel, enthaltend als wesentliches Bindemittel das lös¬ liche Acrylatcopolymerisat nach einem oder nach mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 15 und ein zur Ver- netzung derselben geeignetes Bindemittel.
21. Überzugsmittel nach' Anspruch 20, dadurch gekenn¬ zeichnet, daß es als wesentliches Bindemittel
A) das lösliche Acrylatcopolymerisat nach Anspruch 8 oder 9 und
B) einen Polyalkohol und/oder ein Polyamin mit mindestens 2 primären oder sekundären Aminogruppen enthält.
22. Überzugsmittel nach Anspruch 20, dadurch gekenn¬ zeichnet, daß es als wesentliches Bindemittel
A) das lösliche Acrylatcopolymerisat nach Anspruch 10,11,12 oder 13 und
B) ein Di- oder Polyamin mit mindestens 2 primären oder sekundären Aminogruppen und/oder einen Poly¬ alkohol enthält.
23, Überzugsmittel nach Anspruch 20, dadurch gekenn¬ zeichnet, daß es als wesentliches Bindemittel
A) das lösliche Acrylatcopolymerisat nach Anspruch 14 oder 15 und
B) Verbindungen mit mindestens 2 Carboxylgruppen oder mindestens 2 primären oder sekundären Amino¬ gruppen oder mindestens 2 Hydroxylgruppen pro Mole¬ kül enthält.
24. Verfahren zur Herstellung des Uberzugsmittels nach Anspruch 21, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das lös¬ liche Acrylatcopolymerisat mit der Polyalkoholkom¬ ponente und/oder der Polyaminko ponente sowie mit organischen Lösungsmitteln, gegebenenfalls Pigmen¬ ten, Füllstoffen und üblichen Hilfsstoffen und Addi¬ tiven durch Mischen und gegebenenfalls durch Disper- gieren zu einer Überzugsmasse verarbeitet wird.

Verfahren zur Hersteilung des Uberzugsmittels nach Anspruch 22, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das lös¬ liche Acrylatcopolymerisat nach Anspruch 10, 11, 12 oder 13 mit dem Di- oder Polyamin und/oder der Poly¬ alkoholkomponente sowie mit organischen Lösungsmit¬ teln, gegebenenfalls Pigmenten, Füllstoffen und üb¬ lichen Hilfsstoffen und Additiven durch Mischen und gegebenenfalls durch Dispergieren zu einer Überzugs¬ masse verarbeitet wird.

Verfahren zur Herstellung der' Überzugsmittβls nach Anspruch 23, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das lös¬ liche Acrylatcopolymerisat nach Anspruch 14 oder 15 mit Verbindungen mit mindestens 2 Carboxylgruppen oder mindestens 2 primären oder sekundären Amino- gr ppen oder mindestens 2 Hydroxylgruppen pro Mole¬ kül sowie mit organischen Lösungsmitteln, gegebenen- ' falls Pigmenten, Füllstoffen und üblichen Hilfs¬ stoffen und Additiven durch Mischen und gegebenen¬ falls Dispergieren zu einer Überzugsmasse verarbei¬ tet wird.
27. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Überzuges bei dem ein Überzugsmittel nach Anspruch 21, 22 oder 23, wobei dem Überzugsmi tel gegebenenfalls ein Kataly¬ sator zugerr.ischt werden kann, durch Spritzen, Fluten, Tauchen, Walzen, Rakeln oder Streichen auf ein Sub¬ strat in Form eines Films aufgebracht wird und der Film zu einem fest haftenden Überzug gehärtet wird.
28. Beschichtetes Substrat, erhalten durch das Verfah- ren nach Anspruch 27.
