An external cable 16 is connected to the piezoelectric device 12, the junction being protected by an injection moulding 18 conveniently of ther o plastics material.

Abstract

Un transducteur électromécanique possède deux couches (20) d'un polymère piézoélectrique polarisé recouvert sur chaque face d'un revêtement conducteur (22). Les deux couches sont arrangées dos à dos et fixées par une bande adhésive double-face (24), leurs revêtements conducteurs chargés positivement étant orientés l'un contre l'autre. Des couches protectrices (26) d'isolation et une gaine protectrice (28) sont prévues. Les revêtements conducteurs internes sont reliés par une broche (30) traversant les couches polymères, le revêtement conducteur externe étant absent à proximité de la broche. Les revêtements conducteurs externes également sont reliés par une broche (32), et la connexion avec un câble externe blindé est réalisée par ces broches, la broche (32) étant reliée au blindage externe du câble et la broche (30) au câble interne de signal. Etant donné que le dispositif est piézoélectrique, aucune alimentation en courant n'est nécessaire et l'interconnexion des deux revêtements internes conducteurs améliore le signal produit par le dispositif, tandis que les deux revêtements externes forment un blindage électromagnétique et électrostatique réduisant les signaux parasites étrangers et indésirés qui pourraient troubler le fonctionnement du dispositif.
