Abstract
A grinding and sharpening device for knives and similar objects, equipped with two support legs (2) which at their top ends are linked to one another by an articulation (3) and whose lower ends are attached by means of a clamping device (8) to a table-top. The supporting legs (2) each carry on their external side a tensioned common abrasive strip (5) on a soft covering material (4). The knife to be sharpened (13) is moved alternately along each of the two support legs with circular movements and is thus ground and sharpened.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Schleif- und Abziehvorrich¬ tung für Messer u.dgl. mit zwei in spitzem Winkel zu¬ einander stehenden Tragschenkeln, die jeweils eine Schleif- bzw. Die Schneiden von Messern und ähnlichen Klingen müssen mit angetriebenen Schleif cheiben oder Schleifbändern geschliffen werden, sobald ein gewisser Verschleiß und damit eine Abstumpfung eingetreten ist. Die zeitlichen Abstände zwischen zwei NachschleifVorgängen können we¬ sentlich größer gewählt werden, wenn die Messer in der Zwischenzeit mit einer Schleif- und Abziehvorrichtung nachgeschärft werden. Zu diesem Zweck ist die Verwen¬ dung von Abziehstählen bekannt. Daneben gibt es Abzieh- Vorrichtungen mit den eingangs genannten Merkmalen; die beiden in spitzem Winkel zueinanderstehenden Tragschenkel weisen jeweils eine Abziehoberfläche auf, die üblicher¬ weise aus einem Stahl- oder Keramikkörper besteht, die eine V-förmige Kerbe bilden, in der die Schneide des Messers entlanggezogen wird. Damit läßt sich zwar eine Abziehwirkung erreichen; ein Nachschleifen der Schneide ist jedoch nicht möglich, da kein wesentlicher Material¬ abtrag erfolgt.

1. Schleif- und Abziehvorrichtung für Messer u.dgl. mit zwei in spitzem Winkel zueinander stehenden Trag-' schenkein (2, 2'), die jeweils eine Schleif- bzw.
