Abstract
The nut (4) enables to provide a playless support of a front fork to the motorcycle frame by securing the four roller rings (J, L, M, N) by close fitting. In the conventional supports of the front fork, the upper roller (G) has a play up to 0.15 mm. This play is maintained up to the contact of the tire to the ground and increases according to the type of motorcycle by 6 to 10 times, that is up to 1.5 mm. The play of the upper roller is eliminated by the nut, and consequently equals 0.0 mm; when the tire is in contact with the ground, no motion is generated.

Bei Motorrädern wird die Vordergabel zum Rahmen mit zwei Lagern hergestellt. Diese sind meistens Axialkugellager oder Kegelrollenlager. Dazu werden die Außenringe der Lager in den Rahmen eingepreßt (Press¬ fassung). Der Innenring des unteren Steuerkopflagers wird auf den Steuer¬ kopfschaft gepreßt (Pressfassung), jedoch der Innenring des oberen Innen- kopflagers wird auf dem Steuerkopfschaft mit einer Spielfassung versehen. Darauf kommt die Einstellmutter und dann die Kontermutter; also ist die Verbindung der Vorderradgabel zum Rahmen nicht spielfrei.For motorcycles, the front fork to the frame is made with two bearings. Durch diese Anordnung wird ein Ausschlagen der Lagerstelle vermieden.1. Die Tragmutter (s. Blatt 1, Figur H) stellt eine spielfreie Verbindung zwischen Rahmen und Vorderradgabel her, weil alle vier Lagerschalen (s. Blatt 1, Figur J, L, M u. Bei der herkömmlichen Lagerung der Vorderradgabel ist am oberen Steuer¬ kopflager (s. Blatt 2, Figur J) ein Spiel bis zu 0,15 mm vorhanden. Dieses Spiel setzt sich bis zur Auflage des Reifens auf der Straße fort und ver¬ größert sich je nach Motorradtyp um ein 6- bis 10-faches (s. Blatt 3), also bis zu 1,5 mm. Das Spiel am oberen Steuerkopflager wird durch die Tragmutter beseitigt, also 0,0 mm; so ergibt sich an der Auflage des Reifens ebenfalls keine Bewegung.
