Thereafter, split locking collar of pin 17, including segments 20, would be mounted on end 21 of pin 16 and link 14 would be press-fitted onto the collar.
  • the axial space accommodating seal 28, between surfaces 26 and 27, will thus be precisely defined and during operation of the track assembly locking means 24 will function to maintain such accommodation.

Abstract

L'utilisation de chenilles pour vehicule du type a chenille pose le probleme de la chasse des tiges dans la connection des joints. Cette chasse des tiges resulte essentiellement des charges importantes qui sont imposees a la connection des jointures pendant le fonctionnement des assemblages des chenilles. Un collier de verrouillage (17) est fixe entre la tige (16) et un maillon (14) d'un assemblage de chenille (10) pour empecher une telle chasse des tiges. En particulier, la tige (16) et le collier de verrouillage (17) ont des surfaces cooperantes (22, 23) pour empecher leur mouvement axial relatif. En appliquant ce procede, des segments (20) du collier de verrouillage (17) montes sur la tige (16) et le maillon (14) est alors fixe au collier de verrouillage (17).
