Abstract

Un systeme de miroir cassegrain (31, 33) est mis en rotation autour d'un axe diurne, lequel est ajuste pour les variations saisonnieres de l'incidence des rayons solaires sur la surface de la terre. Le long de l'axe diurne utilise pour la mise en rotation du systeme collecteur une cavite allongee (11, 13) remplie d'une substance fluide translucide ou transparente est utilisee pour l'absorption directe des rayons solaires. Ceci est effectue en fournissant aux parois de cette cavite (11, 13) des surfaces hautement reflechissantes afin que sensiblement toute l'energie solaire incidente soit absorbee directement par la substance fluide et que seulement une portion insignifiante soit absorbee par les parois de la cavite. Le fluide a l'interieur de la cavite peut etre maintenu sous des pressions et des temperatures extremement elevees afin d'utiliser ce fluide comme moyen d'emmagasinage de la chaleur. Un tel emmagasinage de chaleur est facilite par le dispositif (175, 179, 187, 197) qui permet un changement du volume de la cavite reflechissante (11, 13) en reponse a la temperature et a la pression du fluide a l'interieur de la cavite.
