- the present invention relates to an arrangement for outer doors and the like which separate cold and hot spaces from each other, comprising a per se known frame construction consisting of two spaced-apart profiles of metal or other material having high heat conductivity and members inserted in grooves in the respective profile to interlock the profiles, said members consisting of a material the thermal conductivity of which is inferior to that of the metal material, thin sheets inserted in pocket-like recesses in the respective profile and: e ⁇ fining the inside and outside of the door, and foamed- in-place cellular material filling out the interior of the door.

- the tendency of a door, covered by an integral sheet of metal on its inside and its outside, to buckle due to temperature differences between the inside and outside may be reduced in that one of the metal sheets, preferably the inner one, is prestressed while the outer one is left unaffected.

- the door will thus bulge to some degree but straighten again into plane position as the temperature on the outside decreases. As the bulge would only amount to a few millimetres this is of no significance to the sealing function of the door.
