Abstract

Cepas bacterianas de la especie B. subtilis CECT 7968, CECT 7969 y NCIMB 42026, capaces de expresar los genes mutados sintéticos heterólogos: pdc y adhB originarios de Z. mobilis, ´tesA originario de E. coli y atf1 originario de Acinetobacter sp. ADP1, también pudiendo sobre-expresar al menos uno de los genes de los complejos enzimáticos ACC (acetil-CoA carboxilasa) y acil CoA sintetasa. Se describe además: el uso de dichas cepas para la producción de biocombustible, biodiesel, a partir de glicerina; procedimiento de síntesis de biocombustible y el biocombustible propiamente obtenido.
