Agentes antibacterianos y antivirales de aritiol y ditiobisarilamida tienen la fórmula general en donde A es arilo monocíclioco o bicíclico que puede contener hasta 3 heteroátomos seleccionados de O, S y N, R1 y R2 son grupos sustituyentes, X es o SO3NR4Z, Y es H o SZ cuando n es 1, un enlace simple cuando n es 2; R4 y Z pueden ser hidrógeno o alquilo.
