Abstract
La presente invención trata de un producto y proceso con base en poliéster saturado termoplástico, especificamente politereftalato de etileno glicol (PET) con características de procesabilidad mejoradas, para obtención de artículos moldeados con base en éste, por ejemplo, botellas, embalajes, películas, etc. El poliéster es formado de ácido tereftálico o su éster derivado y etileno glicol, que sufren esterificación directa o transesterificación hasta una viscosidad intrínseca entre 0,55 hasta 0,70 dl/g en presencia de un sistema catalítico con base en antimonio, germanio, cobalto, fósforo, y opcionalmente monómeros retardantes de cristalización a temperatura abajo de 310ºC, pasando entonces para una post-condensación sólida, a temperatura variando entre 190 y 230ºC por un intervalo de tiempo de 5 hasta 25 horas aproximadamente.
