1 Claim. 1
The present invention. relates to a new and distinct variety of hybrid tea rose plant, originated by the crossing of two unnamed seedlings.
This new variety has been tested under all conditions throughout the United States and all of these tests have shown it to be an unusually vigorous bush with free flowering habits.
It is further characterized as to novelty by the color of the flowers, Rose Red color on the inside of the petal and contrasting Rose Red overlaid with Rose color on the outside of the petals; by the very rich Old Rose fragrance of the blooms, quite unusual in roses of corresponding size and color; by the Light Cadmium anthers and Spectrum Red filaments; and by the large size bud and flower and very plentiful dark green foliage.
Asexual reproduction of this new variety shows the foregoing characteristics come true to form and are established.
In the drawings is illustrated a fair group specimen of the new variety showing the flowers at difierent stages of development from bud to fully opened bloom.
The following is a detailed description of the new variety, the color terminology being in ac-, cordance with Ridgways Color Standard:
