Specification forming part of Design No. 9,450, dated August 22, 1876; application filed August 9, i876.

' [Term of Patent 7 years} To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, JOSEPH W. FIsKE, of New York, in thecounty of New York and State of New York, have invented certain Improvements in Designs for a Rim or Coping for FountninBesins, of which the following is a speei lie-(ition My design is fully illustrated-in the accompanying photograph, to which reference is made.

This is a, design for a rim or coping for a, fountain-basin. It is made in sections, so that when united they will form 'a, circle, the exterior surf-(tee being molded or paneled, or made in any desired ornamental style or form. At intervals the rim is provided with projections of 11 style to suit the form of the rim, which projections form pedestals for vases, as shown in the photograph. Midway between these pedestals there is, on the outer face oi the rim, am antique face, as an ornament.

In the photograph, I have shown a rim hawing four.ot' the pedestals with vases on them, and four of the antique faces; but the number may be more or less, according to the size of the basin that it is desired 0 construct.

What 1 elaim as my design is- A rim or coping for fountain-basins, pro vided with the pedestals for vases, and the antique feces, substantially as shown and described.
