DESIGN FOR MEDALS.
Specification forming part of Design No. 7,829, dated November 3, 1874; application filed September l0, w74. [Term of Patent 3l years] To all whom it may consom:
Be it known that we, T. RoLLAsoN HAR- TELL and JOHN LEToIIWoR'rI-I, of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a certain eertain new and Improved Design for Medals; and we do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exaet description of the same, reference beinghad to the aeeonipanying,r drawings, which form part ofV this specification, in which- Figure l is a view of the design of the ohverse, and Fig. 2 a view of the reverse, side of the medal.
Our design for a medal consists of, first, a representation on one side of said medal of Carpenters Hall, in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; second, a representation on the other side of said medal ot' the signing of the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America.
Fig. l, in the accompanying facsimile, is a view of Uarpenters Ilall, and Fig. 2 an illustration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America,
which designs are applied, respectively, to the obverse and reverse sides of a medal in any suitable and appropriate manner.
Vilhat We claim as our design is- 1. A medal, bearing on one side a view of (larpenters Hall, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as described and shown.
2. .A medal, bearing.,r on one side an illus tration of the si gning; of the Declaration of lndependenee of the United States of America, as shown.
3. A medal, bearing on one, or the obverse, side a view of (larpentes Hall, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and on the other, or reverse, side an illustration of the signing of the Deela ration of Independence, substantially as shown and described.
