DESIGN FOR A MEDAL.
Specification forming part of Design No. 8,285., dated April 27, 1875; application filed April 3, 1875. [Term of Patent Slyears] To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, THOMAS R. IIAR'IELL, of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a certain new and useful Design for Medals; and 1 do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same.
My design for a medal is illustrated in the accompanying photographs.
Figure l is a photographic View of Horticultural Hall of the Uentennial Exposition, to beheld in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the year 1876. The design thus illustrated is applied to one side of a medal. Fig. 2 is a photographic View of Machinery Hallot' said exposition, and this design is applied to the other side of a medal.
\Vhat I claim is- 1. A design for one side of a medal, consisting of a View of Horticultural Hall of the Centennial Exposition of 1876, illustrated in Fig. l of the accompanying photograph.
2. A design for the reverse side of a medal, consisting of a View of Machinery Hall, Centennial Exposition of 1876, illustrated in Fig. 2 of the accompanying photograph.
3. The design for a medal herein described, consisting of a view, on one side, of Horticultural Hall, and on the other side a View of Machinery Hall, Centennial Exposition otlSTU, illustrated in accompanying photographs.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing I have hereunto set my hand this 1st day of April, 1875.
