DESIGN FOR SMOKE-BELL FOR LAMPS, &c.

Specification forming part of Design No. 7,749, dated September 8, 1874; application filed August 27, 1674.

[Term of Patent 7 years] To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, FRANCIS BILLINGHAM, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Smoke-Bells for Lanterns and Lamps, of which the following is a specification:

The nature of my design is fully shown in the accompanying photographic impression, to which reference is made; and consists of a smoke-bell made of the peculiar configuration represented, viz: Its upper portion a a is fiat. From a to b is a curve giving the upper mem her A of the bell a concave conoidal shape. Below the member A is a plain fillet, B, extending from b to 0. Below the line 0 c the body 0 of the bell has an umbellate figure, its lower edge being cut into the petaliform pendants D D, separated by the perforations e, and having the points f f at their dependent ends.

What I claim as new is The design for smoke-bells for lanterns and lamps, as shown, the same consisting of the conoidal portion A separated by a fillet, B, from the umbellate portion 0, the latter having its lower edge formed into pointed petals separated by the perforations c, all in the manner represented and specified.
