Be it known that I, THEODORE METZELER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented and produced anew and original Design for a Motto, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.

Mydesign is for a package containing usually a paper cap, a snapper, and a motto or quotation, used as a favor at social functions and commonly called a motto.

Figure 1 is a front view of my newly designated motto. Fig. 2 isa rear view of the same.

The leading feature of my design consists of a. dressed doll-like figure on the front of the body of the package, which body falls within the outlines of, and is concealed from front view by the doll-like figure, as indicated in Fig. 1. The body of the package is shown in Fig. 2, and is of cylind rical shape, ornamented at the ends with spreading tassels. The dolllike figure is arranged longitudinally on the front of the package-body, is dressed, and with its garment completely conceals the packagebody from front view, the body falling within the outlines of the dressed figure.

\Vhat I claim is The design for a motto substantially as herein shown and described.
