PATENT OFFICE.
CHARLES O. GOZZENS, 0'1 SOU'IHBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS, ASSIGNOR 'I'O AMERICAN OYTICAL COMPANY, OF SOUTI-IBIRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS, A VOLUNTARY ASSOCIA- TION OF MASSACHUSETTS.
DESIGN FOR- A BRIDGE FOR SPECTACLES.
Application filed May 19 1923. Serial No. 6,227. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, CHARLES O. CozznNs, a citizen of the United States, residing at Southbridge, in the county of lVorcester and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Bridge for Spectacles, of which the following is a specification, reference being made to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a perspective View of a bridge for spectacles showing the new design.
Figure 2 is a transverse sectional view on the line a a of Figure 1.
In manufacturing a bridge for spectacles, as herein disclosed, with the ornamental design as shown, the article is preferably made of metal or such material as Will take on a highly polished surface, and due to such finish and the fact that the bridge has reflecting faces or facets, an ornamental appearance is distinctively noticeable to the eye. Furthermore, bridges with end pieces attached are made as articles of manufacture, separate and distinct from a complete spectacle frame, though it is also customary to make spectacles complete with the bridges assembled therein.
What I claim is:
The ornamental design for a bridge for spectacles, as shown.
In testimony whereof, I affix my signature in the presence of two Witnesses.
CHARLES O. COZZENS.
Witnesses SUSAN CASAZZA, ESTHER M. LAFLER.
