Specification forming part of Design No. 5,399, dated December 5, 1871.

To all whom it may Gomera:

Be itmknown that I, JAMES L. JACKSON, of the city and State of New York, haye invented or produced a new and original Design for Hooks for Harness, &c.; and the following is declared to be a correct description of the saine.

This design relates to the shape and congurg ation of the hook.

In the drawing the said hook is shown by a perspective view. n

The hook or arm a, back plate c, and side plates or brackets b are cast together. The hook a is hollow and semicrcular, and the sides are extended downward near the back plate e in the form of brackets at b, which not only strengthen the harness-hook, but render the saine highly ornalnental.
