DESIGN FOR A RADIATOR-VALVE CASING AND HANDLE.
Specification for Design.
Patented May 20, 1919.
To all "whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOSEPH F. BRIGHT- MAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Syracuse, in the county of Onondaga and State of New York, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Radiator-Valve Casing and Handle, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part hereof.
The drawing is a perspective view look ing downwardly on my radiator valve casing? and handle.
his design for a radiator valve as1ng and handle comprises a lengthwise curved peripheral surface 1 on the body or base of the valve, which surface bulges at 2 around the middle of the body or base aid curves inwardl at 4 toward the upper and lower ends 0 the base then outwardly slightly, toward a cylindrical band 5 at the top of the body and a hexagonal band 6 at the lower end of the body. The design further includes inwardly and upwardly curved peripheral surfaces 7 on an intermediate or must portion above the body, the intermediate part of which surface 7 is 0091 of this patent may be obtained for cylindrical, the lower part of which flares outwardly abruptly at 8 to the edge of the octagonal peripheral surface 9 at the lower end of the surface 7 and the upper part of which surface 7 is a circumferential band 10 located beneath a hexagonal portion 11. This design also includes a thin disk 12 of large diameter above the latter hexagonal portion, and a handle 13 above the disk surmounted by a cap 14:, the handle including a hub 15 of less diameter than the waist portion of the valve and rounding in easy curves toward its upper end, and the cap 14 which surmounts the hub 15, having a dome shaped top, the parts of the valve, with the exception of the disk, gradually reducing, in diameter from the body to the top of valve casing.
I claim:
The ornamental design for a radiator valve casing and handle, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto signed my name at Syracuse in the county of Onondaga, and State of New York, this 23rd day of October, 1915.
