AUGUSTUS O. BOUR, OF PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND, ASSIGNOR TO THE NATIONAL RUBBER COMPANY, OE SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR RUBBER OVERSHOES.
Specification forming part of Design No. 5,067, dated July 4, 1R71.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, rGUsTrs O. BoURN, of' the city and eountxv of Providence, State of Rhode Island, have originated a new and artistic Design for the Ornalncntation of RubherOvershoes; and I do hereby declare that the following specification, taken in connection with the drawing,l furnished and forming a part oi' the saine, is a clear, true, and cxact description thereof.
Figure l represents, in side view, a shoe exhibiting my design. Fig, 2 is a top View of the saine.
Referring to thc drawing, A represents a raised strip, extending entirely around the opening in the shoe a` short distance below the edge. B is another raised strip, extendido,` troni the under side of the strip A, on the side of the quarter above the heel, downward and forward in a graceful curve; then downward to a point near the sole adjacent to the arch 5 thence extending on a curve upward and forward slightly above the sole to the toe ot' the shoe, when it extends upward and inclines slightly to the rear on top, continuingA in a corrcspolnling liuc on the opposite side ofthe shoe. C is one of several groups of raised ribs which extend across the vamp from a point on one side slightly above the strip B to a corresponding point on the opposite side of the shoe.
Having thus described my said design, I claim as new- The design for the ornamentation of rubber shoes, consisting of the raised strips A and B and the groups of raised ribs C extending across the vamp, substantially as described and shown.
