Design No. 4,986, dated June 13, 1871.
DESIGN FOR A CLOCK-CASE.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, PASGHAL CONVERSE, of New Haven, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Clock-Case; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this specification, and represents, in-
Figure 1, a front view; t
Figure 2. a transverse section on line I x; and in Figure 3, a transverse section on line 3 y.
This invention relates to a design for octagonal pendulum-clock cases, and consists in the design for the form of the case, as fully shown in the accompanying drawing.
The octagonal portion of the case, in the center of which is the dial, is formed flat upon its surface, with a rounded edge, a, as seen in Figure 4.
Centrally from the bottom of the clock extends downward a box-form, A, within which the pendulum swings.
This part is of equal width from the clock down to the angles 11, thence inclining downward in a straight line, meeting in the center atf, the edge finished with a semicircular projecting molding, n, as seen in fig. 2.
In this portion of the case a square door, B, is formed, the frame I) of the door being formed from a similar semicircular molding to that upon the edge of that part of the case.
I claim as my invention- The design for clock-case, as herein described and shown in the accompanying drawing.
