DESIGN FOR A TEA-POT.
The Schedule rcferred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all persons to whom these presents may come Be it known that I, GEORGE GILL, of Taunton, of the county of Bristol and State of Massachusetts, have invented or produced a new ornamental Design for a Tea-pot or Service; and do hereby declare the same to be described as follows, and to be represented in the accompanying drawing, which shows a tea-pot formed or provided with tbe design.
Of such drawing- Figure 1 denotes a front elevation, and
Figure 2 a side view ot' such tea-pot.
The foot or base of the Vase oi' the tea-pot has lions heads in alto lrilievo on its flanks, they being projected from raised panels, surinounted by leaves in relief'.
The body of the vase is capped by a. bell-shaped cover surmounted by a fiat knob, supported by lions heads, and terminating at top in a cone.
The form and ornamentation of the handle and the nose or spout of the vase are duly represented in the drawing, both sides oi' each being alike.
The encircling chased band, with its sprigs and leaves, as shown at the upper part of the vase-body, constitutes no part of the design.
In the said tea-pot, as represented,
I claim- The design for the vase or body, that of the cover, that of the spout or nose, and that of the handle, all being essentially as shown in the drawing.
