DESIGN FOB LACE EDGING.
Specification for Design.
Patented May 4, 1915.
Application filed February 27, 1915. Serial No. 11,066. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, SAMUEL N. GOODMAN, a citizen of the United States, residing in Philadelphia, county of Philadelphia, and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for Lace Edging, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which form a part thereof.
In lace edgings, particularly that variety thereof applied to ladies underwear, the same usually comprises: first, the body of the edging forming the braiding space, of which there are a limited number of commonly employed designs; and second, an ornamental knitted tip or border, attached to the body along one longitudinal edge thereof, said ornamental tip or border embodying, in different edgings, a variety of designs. A fabric exhibiting my new design is intended for use as such ornamental tip or border, although the same is adapted to be used independently of an edging body.
The figure is a plan view of a number of repeats of such an ornamental tip or border embodying my new design.
I claim The ornamental design for a lace edging, as shown and described.
In testimony of which invention, I have hereunto set my hand, at Philadelphia, on this 25th day of February, A. D. 1915.
SAMUEL N. GOODMAN.
