UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HARRY C. LEONARD, OF GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN, ASSIGNOR T0 GRAND RAPIDS REFRIGERATOR COMPANY, OF GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN, A CORPORATION OF MICHIGAN.
Specification for Design.
Patented Feb. 23, 1915.
Application filed September 15, 1914. Serial No. 861,895. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HARRY C. LEONARD, a citizen of the United States, residing at Grand Rapids, in the county of Kent and State of Michigan, have invented a certain new and ornamental Design for a Hinge for Refrigerators, of which the following is a specification, which, taken in connection With the accompanying drawing, fully discloses the design such that others may understand the same.
In the drawing: Figure 1 is an edge view of the hinge. Fig. 2 is a front view thereof; and Fig. 3 is a perspective view showing my design for hinge.
Similar reference characters refer to similar parts throughout the several views of the drawing.
In its essential features the hinge comprises a relatively long hinge member 1 and a shorter hinge member 2 having an angular inner end 3, each of said hinge members at their outer ends being of oval formation as indicated at 4. The inner ends of hinge member 1 and of the angle extension 3 of hinge member 2 are formed with interengaging portions 5 adapted to receive the pintle 6 whereby said hinge members are pivotally connected together. The hinge member thus formed is of rich and striking appearance especially attractive to the eye of the observer.
I claim:
The ornamental design for a hinge for refrigerators substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I afiix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
HARRY O. LEONARD.
Witnesses:
FRANK E. LIVERANCE, J r., H. H. YARRINGTON.
