DESIGN FOR A VEHICLE-TIRE.
Application filed July 19, 1913.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, WILLIAM D. MORRIS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Youngstown, in the county of Mahoning and State of Ohio, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for Vehicle-Tires, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, in which Figure 1 is a plan View of the design, and Fig. 2 a transverse section thereof on the line 2-2 of Fig. 1.
This invention relates to a new, original and ornamental design for Vehicle Tires in eneral, but is particularly intended and adapted for the ornamentation of the outer cover or casing of automobile tires, and consists in the novel and pleasing exterior configuration shown.
The cross sectional area of the body 1 of the casing is of substantially circular form at all points throughout the entire circumference of the tire 0r casing, and in this Specification for Design.

respect does not materially differ from other casings. The exterior or tread surface 2, however, as shown by the accompanying illustrations is configured and ornamented by asunken or intaglio pattern comprising a circumferentially continuous series of W like and M like depressions 3 and 4, respectively, alternately arranged, and each extending transversely across the tread surface 2 as shown. The said depressions 3 and 4 are wholly disconnected, but encircle the tire in a common plane, and collectively produce an unusually pleasing and attractive appearance.

The ornamental design for a vehicle tire as shown.
