DESIGN FOR A. GLASS LAMP-SHADE.

Ihe Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the sama I, OHRETIAN DORFLINGER, of Texas, in the county of Wayne and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Glass Lamp-Shade, of which the following is a specification.

My design consists, first, in imparting to a glass lamp-shade an outward form or configuration such as is produced and presented by tbe union, base to base, of two conical frustums of dierent heights and inclinations, the lower inverted frustum being shorter and more acutely inclined than the upper, and provided about the opening therein with a rim to t upon the holder of the lamp or burner upon which it is to be placed; the nature of my said design being fully represented in Figure 1 of the accompanying draw mg.

1t consists, in the second place, in imparting an outward roll or curve to the upper rim of the upper part of a shade, having otherwise the form and outward configuration above described, to impart thereto a more complete and graceful outline; the nature thereof being fully represented in Figure 2 ofthe accompanying drawing.
