Be it known that I, OTrs A. MYGATT, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for an Illuminator, of which the following is a specification.
The gure is a side elevation of an illuminator.
As shown in the drawing, my design consists of a glass globe having its lower portion provided with a ground or frosted surface, with a zone or belt oi clear glass above this. Overhanging the clear-glass Zone there is a nearly-frusto-conical roof or pagoda-like prismatic glass portion, the prisms on such portion extending longitudinally from the cylindrical portion which surmounts the illuminator, such cylindrical portion being of different material. The prismatic pagoda portion produces an incandescent appearance. This and the contrast of color between groundglass and clear-glass portions of the globe produces a highly-ornamental effect.
