DESIGN FOR A SHADE, REFLECTOR, OR SIMILAR ARTICLE.
Application filed June 5, 1908.
Be it known that I, OTIs A. MYo-ATT, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Shade or Beflector or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 is a top plan view of a shade embodying my design. Fig. 2 is a bottom view of the same.
My design consists of a glass article provided on one surface with substantially radial prisms and 011 the other surface with spiral ribs. WVhen viewed from one side as s 1OW11 in Fig. 1 the spiral ribs on one side of the glass body show through the radial Specification for Design.

prisms and when viewed from the other side, as shown in Fig. 2, the prisms show through the spiral ribs. The effect of this design when carried out in grass cannot be shown in a drawing. The effect is that of spirals of shifting high and low lights that continually change in appearance and seem to travel around the glass body as the eye of the observer moves in relation to the shade.
I claim The ornamental design for a shade or reflector, or similar article, substantially as shown and described.
