My invention relates to a new and original design for a canopy for lamp-chimneys.
In the drawings in question, Figure l is an elevation illustrating the new design; Fig. 2, a vertical section through the canopy, and Fig. 3 a plan view.
The leading or material features of the design consist of the parallel bars or ribs 1 1, the rings 2 and 3, between which the bars or ribs extend, and the beads at and 5, extending outwardly from said rings. As shown, each ring",r is provided with a shoulder or ledge 6, and supported upon the shoulder of the upper ring is a transparent or mica panel 7. Between the beads are arranged the serrau tions 8. As shown in Fig. 2, each rib or bar 1 is provided with the two inwardly-curved portions 9 9 and the central vertical portion 10. Each bar is also shown as being Fluted or serrated at 11 throughout its length, as shown. Several of the projections or teeth 8 are bent over at 12 upon the panel 7 to hold the latter in position. Near its bottom the canopy is provided with inwardly-projecting supporting-lingers 13, having vertical members 14 for sustaining the canopy in position on the chimney.
