DE SIGN FOR A BASE-PLATE FOR ELECTRIC MOTORS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,174, dated October 8, 1901.
Application filed August 29, 1901- Serial No. 73,764- Term of patent 7 years.
To aZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, OLIVER F. CONKLIN and JOHN L. MILTON, citizens of the United States, residing, at Dayton, in the county of 5 Montgomery and State of Ohio, have invented a certain new and useful Design for a Base- Plate for Electric Motors; and we do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention,- such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
Figure l is a plan View of. a base-plate for an electric motor, showing our new design. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal sectional view on the line as a; of Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a transverse sectional view on the line y y of Fig. 1.
:0 As shown in the drawings, the leading or material features of our design consist of a rectangular plate A, having four rounded corners and surrounded by an upturned margiual flange A; two oblong openings B, which are surrounded by bosses 13; four circular 25 openings 0, adjacent to the corners of said plate; parallel bars D, adjacent to the four corners of said plate, with intervening re cesses D, and a lug E, projecting from said plate in proximity to two of said parallel bars, the said lug having an upper rounded surface. The lower side of said plate is also surrounded by a marginal flange A, which projects downwardly from the point where the upper marginal flange A begins, as shown in Figs. 2 and 3.

The design for a base-plate for an electric motor as herein shown and described.
