2'0 all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, J OHN G. Rromos, a citizen of theUnited States, residing at Amarillo, in the county of Potter and State of Texas, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Bridle-Bit; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
Figure 1 is a perspective view, and Fig. 2 is a side elevation, of my newly-designed bridlebit.
The leading or material feature of my design, as shown in the drawings, consists in the horse-shaped cheek parts of the hit with the specific configurations hereinafter specified.
In said drawings, a indicates the mouth part, and b b the cheek parts, of the bit, in the latter of which the novelty of design more particularly inheres.
c is the horse-shaped body of the cheekpiece, which in side elevation presents to view a single fore leg doubled so that the heel of the hoof lies close to the upper part of the leg, the hind legs being spread apart so that the hoofs thereof lie distant one from the other, the lower parts of said hind legs lying concentric with a semicircular configuration (Z, connecting said hind legs. At the opposite ends of the horse-shaped body part from the said semicircular connecting part (I the forehead of the horse-shaped part lies upon or at a ring-shaped part e.
That I claim as new is- The design for a bridle-bit, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing I have hereunto set my hand this 29th day of March, 1901.
