DESlGN FOR A LAMP-SHADE OR SlMlLAR ARTICLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 341,249, dated March 19, 1901.
Application filed February 18, 1901. $erial No. 47,882. Term of patent 3 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known LhatI, LILLIAN STRASBURGER, a citizen of the United States, residing at No. 907 Broadway, New York city, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Lamp-Shades; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
My invention relates to a design for a shade for lamps, candles, or the like; and it consists of the configuration shown in the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification, and in which- Figure 1 is a side elevation of a lamp or candle shade, showing my new design; and Fig. 2 is a plan View of the same.
The characteristic or leading feature of my design is its rosebud aspect, with the corolla of the polypetalous type, and comprising a cluster of petals A, extending upwardly and forming the main or globe portion of the shade,and a series of similar petals l3, arranged in circular form about the base of the cluster and pendent therefrom. Alternating with the pendent petals B is a series of serrated lance-like sepals C, which, in combination with said petals, form a lower or hood portion of the shade.
What I claim as new is The design for a lamp-shade, or similar article, substantially as herein shown and described.
