DESIGN FOR A PEDESTAL FOR PIANO-STOOLS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,089, dated February 12, 1901.

Be it known that I, PHINEAS H. YORK, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Pedestals for Piano- Stools, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which Figure l is a perspective view of a pianostool pedestal embodying my design, and Fig. 2 is a side elevation of the same.
The characteristic features of my design comprise a centrally-elevated cruciform base, as A, the several arms a, of which form the legs of the pedestal. From each arm or leg member a and also from the center of the base rise standards or pillars, as b, which are of ornamental form, being made angular in cross-section and made tapering downwardly throughout their main central portions. Each of the said pillars, except the center one, is provided near each end with turned spherical ornamentations, as indicated at Z7 b The several pillars are surmounted by a cap-piece C, which approaches a cruciform shape, the
