DESIGN FOR A PIPE-COUPLING.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No; 33,307, dated October 2, 1900-.
Application filed August 17, 1900. Serial No- 27.2l6. Term of patent 14 years- 10 all whont it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY G. THOMPSON, a citizen of the United States, residing at New Haven, county of New Haven, and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a new, useful, and original Design for a Pipe- Coupling, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a side elevation, partly broken ont,of a pipe-coupling, illustrating mydesign; and Fig. 2 is a left-hand end view thereof.
The leading feature of my design for a pipeeonpling consists in an exteriorly-polygonal tubular body having an internal spirallyii1 readed b01'e,a circular peripherally-grooved head at one end of the body, and a tubular externally-taperine projection extended centrally from the outer face of the head in axial alinement with the body.
Referring to the drawings illustrating my design,the tn bular body In is externally polygonal, as at m, and provided'with an internal spiral thread m one end of the body having a circular head or flange m peripherally grooved, as at m, a. tubular externally-tapering projection m extending from the outer face of the head in axial alinement wilh the body, the bores of body and projection communicating and being of difierent diameters, as shown.
Having fully described my design, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a pipe-coupling, substantially as herein shown and described.
