DESIG N.
No. 32.3l8 Patented Mar. 6, 1900.
E. H. LUNKEN.
SIGHT FEED LUBRICATOR.
(Appiiutiou filed Feb, 1. 1900) UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
EDMUND lI. LUNKEU, OF DENVER, COLORADO, ASSIGNOR 'lO 'llll LUNKENIIEIMER COMPANY, OF CINCIN ATI, OIIlO.
DESIGN FOR A SIGHT-FEED LUBRiCATOR.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,318, dated March 6, 1900.
Application filed February 1, 1900. Serial No. 3,648. Term of patent 14 years.
To (116 whom, it may concern.-
lie it known that I, EDMUND H. LUNKEN, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Denver, in the county of Arapahoe, in the State of Colorado, have invented a certain new and original Design for Sight-Feed Luhricators, of which the following is a description, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification.
In said drawings, Figure 1 represents a front elevation of a sight-feed lubrieatoreinbodying my new design; Fig. 2, a side elevation thereof, and Fig. 3across-section thereof on the line 3 3 of Fig. 2.
The essential and distinguishing characteristic of. my novel design consists in the shape of the oil-reservoir A,which is approximately seinieyelindrical in eross-section, as shown in Fig. 3, with its flat side a facing forward and its curved side I) facing rearward and having a flat top and bot-tom and provided at its upper and lower ends with the forward extensions l3 C, receiving between them the sightfeed and gage glasses 1) E, presenting the appearance of two columns resting upon the lower extension 0 as a base and supporting the upper extension B. The fittings c for the glasses D E surround said glasses at their upper and lower ends, adjacent the extensions B O, and the extension C also receives upon its under side the fittings (I e for the sight-feed regulating and drain cocks, while the upper extension B receives upon its upper side the filling-plug F.
The foregoing produces a sight-feed lubricator of striking design and appearance and radically different from the conventional forms heretofore employed.
Having thus fuliydeseribed my invention, I claim The design for a sight-feed lnln'icator as herein shown and described.
EDMUND ll. Ll TNKEN.
