Be it known that I, Jonx SGHMU'T, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cleveland, in the county of (hiyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a newand original Design for Housings of Gear-\Vheels. of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to new and original designs in housings for gear-wheels, particularly adapted to cover the gearing of clotheswringers and similar devices.
In the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this specification, Figure 1 is a plan View of my housing. Fig. 2 is an edge VlOW thereof. Fig. 3 is a central vertical section, and Fig. l is a bottom end view.
My new design consists of a hollow boxlike cover, the outer surface of which is Hat and of foil shape in plan View. The sides of the cover follow the lines of the outer surface and extend at right angles thereto. EX-
tcnding outward from the bottom edges of the sides are four recessed ears. An apertu re is formed in the flat surface of the housing and the lower end of said housing is open.
The surface of the housing is ornamented by crossed lines and V-shaped characters.
The essential or material featn re of my new design is the flat foil-shaped surface having i the ornamental crossed lines and V-shaped characters.
Having thus described my new design, what I claim is The design for a housing [or gear-wheels, substantially as shown and described.
