DESIGN FOR A VEHICLE-FRAME.

Application filed September 21, 1899. Serial No. 731,227. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whonb it may concern:
Be it known that we, FREDERICK E. GROUT and CHARLES B. GROUT, citizens of the United States, and residents of Orange, Franklin county, State of lIfiSSflCilllSGhtSJlitVG invented and produced a new and original Design for Motor-Vehicle Frames, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part therei of, in which Figures 1, 2, and 3 represent a side, plan, and end view, respectively, of a motor-vehicle frame'embodying our new design.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of our design consists of a frame having oppositely-located sides 1 1, each being formed with two pieces 2 2 extending substantially parallel with each other i throughout the greater portion of their length j= and terminating at opposite ends of the frame in rounded loops 3 3, one of which latter incloses or contains a vertically-elongated open"- Eng 4 and the other a substantially circular opening 5. Between the sides 1 1 extend crossbraces 6 t5 6, two of which at the forward end of the frame support a bearing-clip 7. Having thus described our invention, what we claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
