EMILE PICKIIARDT, OE ISIiING'lON, UASSACIIUSET'IS.
DESIGN FOR A GARTER-CABINET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,726, dated October 24, 1899.
Application lerl June 6,1896. Serial No, 594,628. Term of patent I4 years.
2e it known that I, EMILE i1cKu.\r.nr, a citizen ofthe United States, residing at Isiington, in the county of Norfolk and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design fora Garter-Cabihet, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
The drawing is a perspective view of the garter-cabinet.
This design relates to a cabinet in which specimens of the contents of the cabinet may be displayed through portions of faces of the body.
The leading or material feature of the design consists of the ornamentation of certain faces through which the specimens are to be exhibited.
The form of the cabinet, including the standard, is that of a standard l 10, surmoun ted by a right prism. Those faces of the prism or body through which the specimens are to be exhibited alternate with other faces. The central portion of each of the former faces is the pane Within the boundary line 2. The surface of this pane and that of the portion fi outside ofthe liuc l are plane surfaces or parts of a single plane surface. The surfaces 20 of the other faces are plane surfaces. The plane of cach faceplate is behind that of the narrow surfaces i, and the embossed corner-pieces 5 are superimposed on the su rfaces fl and overlap the face-plates. The top of the cabinet presents two plane surfaces (i, ineiosed by a margin G() and separated by a narrow convex surface GI, extending across the top. The edges |52 of the top are in planes a little in front of the corner-pieces 5 and are the crowning surfaces of the faces of the cabinet. The upper surface of the margin G0 is in a' plane above that of the surfaces 6, and the ornaments 7 extend above the margin G0 at each corner of the top.
Having thus described my design, what I claim, and desi rc to secu re by Letters Patent,
The design for a garter-cabinet, as herein In presence of- JNo. J. BONNER, HUGH GILLARD.
