Be it known that I, DE VITT O. BOUToN, a citizen of the United States,residing at Ithaca, in the county of Tompkins and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Dolls, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof, and in which I show the body provided at each end with head and arms, the head at one end being intended to be that of a colored person and the head of the other end being intended to be that of a white person.
As shown in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design consists of a body a, having at each end a head I) and c, and intermediate the heads and body and extending in opposite directions are arms (I.
The head 11 is intended to represent the head of a white and civilized person, while the head 20 e is intended to represent the head of a colored or uncivilized person, each head having a suitable facial expression imparted thereto in any suitable manner.
