SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,624, dated October 10, 1899.
Application filed August 1'7, 1899. Serial No. 727,592. Term of patent 7 years.
To all! whom it may concern.-
lie it known that I, Louis [1. \VALES, n citizen of the United States, residing in New Brilnin, in the county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a new and original Design for n Padl0ckCnse, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, in which the figure is a perspective of a padlock-case, showing my new design.
The contour of the case in side view is circnlar, with a curved depression 1 at the top. The contour of an ordinary shackle is indicated in broken lines as projecting from the edge of the case. At the upper lefthand portion is the representation of a cloud 2 with a chain of lightning 3 issuing therefrom. At
one side of the cloud and lightning is the lignre of a Grecian soldier 4, leaning over his shield 5, with one hand on the edge of his shield and with it dagger (5 in the said hnnd. On the face of the shield there are two series 7 7 of ornaments with (L space between snitnble for receiving the name of the soldier represented.
