Description

UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
GUSTAV SCIIULTZE, OF BERKELEY, CALIFORNIA.
DESlGN FOR A PUZZLE-BOARD.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,613, dated October 3, 1899. Application filed June 7, 1899. Serial No, 719,741- Term of patent 31 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, GUSTAV SCHULTZE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Berkeley, in the county of Alameda, State of California, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Puzzle-Board, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying sheet-of drawings, showing a part thereof.
Figure l is a plan view of the puzzle-hoard, showing my new design; and Fig. 2 is a crossseetional view taken on line m m of Fig, 1.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of the representation of a mutilated eight-pointed star outlined upon the bottom A of a box or receptacle C. At six points of the star there is located a station 13. In the drawings the stations B and B are represented cylindrical in shape, while the controlling-station D and station D are illustrated as diamond-shaped. The field or central portion O of the star (les 1 ignates the home station and point D the eontrolling-station. To one side of the control- E ling-station is located station D, in line with station 13'. Station D designates what would he the eighth point of the sta r if the same were not a mutilated one.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure protection in by design Letters Patent, is-
The design for a puzzle-hoard, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I atiix my signature, in the presence of witnesses, this 19th day of May, 1899.
i GUSTAV SOHULTUE.
