To all 1011,0111 it may mum-rm Be it known that 1, JOHN HAMEL'ION KE- GANS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Foneine, in the county of Collin, in the State of Texas, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Plowshare, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a plow, showing my new design. Fig. .2 is a rear end elevation of the same. Fig. 3 is a plan view of the plowshare. Fig. 4: is a longitudinal section on line 4 i, Fig. 3. Fig. 5 is a transverse sectional view on line 5 5, Fig. 3.
Similar letters of reference indicate similar parts in the several figures of the drawings.
As shown in the drawings the leading or material features of my design consist of a substantially triangular plowshare or moldboard A, which when transversely viewed is convexed; a wing B, disposed at an angle to the moldboarrl and having a comparatively straight lower edge and the upper edge of which combines with the adjacent edge of the moldboard to produce an acute-angled recess C; in a moldboard when viewed in side elevation is eoncaved, and in an upwardlydisposed acutely-angled colter or blade 1), that extends from the heel of the moldboard to a short distance from the point E on the landside of the plow.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
