DESIGN FOR A GAME-BOARD.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,019,
dated June 13, 1899.
Application led May 18,1899. Serial No. 717,365. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whmit t may concern;
e it known that I, JUDsoN C. NEYHART, a citizen of the United States, residing at Williamsport,in the county of Lycoming and State of lennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a GameBoard, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a new and original design for a game-board; and it has for its ol)- ject to provide a design of this character that shall be both useful and ornamental.
The leading feature of the design resides in a game-hoard provided upon its playing-surface with a rectangular' field having two diagonally opposite corners truncated on parallel lines and provided therein with a plurality of diagonal rows of perforations.
lVhile the essential feature of the design resides in a rectangular ield having the diagonal rows of perforations and the diagonally opposite truncated corners, the invention also involves a minor feature, which is the gameboard having Within the rectangular eld thereof a series of parallel right-angularl y crossing diagonal lines which intersect each other at the perforations and form the boundaries of rows of diamond-shaped figures.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a plan View of a game-board embodying the herein-described design. Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view of thet game-board.
Referring to the accompanying drawings, the numeral i designates a game-board provided With a dat playing-surface 2, having thereon areetangular field 3. The rectangular field 3 is inclosed within marginal lines arranged at right angles to each other. The two diagonally opposite corners of said rectangular eld 3 are truncated on the parallel lines 4. The said rectangular field 3, having the diagonally opposite truncated corners 4, is provided therein with a plurality of diagonal rows of circular perforations or openings 5 and is also provided with a series of parallel diagonal lines (i, crossing at right angles and intersecting each other at the perforations or holes 5. The right angularly intersecting lines 6 form the boundaries of rows of diamond-shaped figures 7,whieh com plete the design fer the game-hoard.
What is claimed is- The design for a gaine-hoard, herein shown and described.
