DESIGN FOR AN ELECTRIC LAMP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,367, dated September 20, 1898.
Application filed March 18, 1898. Serial No. 674,390. Term of patent 14 years.
To (LM whom. it may concern.-
Be it known that I, GEORGE R. MACINTIRE, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city of New York, in the county and State of New York, have invented a certain new and original Design for Electric Lamps, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forining a part thereof.
This invention relates to electric lamps in the complete form in which they are used and of which the shade 0r reflector may be regarded as forming a part.
The invention consists in the design for such lamps to be described more fully herenafter.
The accompanying drawing presents a side View of a lamp which embodies the design.
The upper portion A of the lamp is an inverted-bell shape, with a rather full and Wellrounded shoulder a and a spreading crinkled edge o'. Below the lower edge of this upper portion there is presented to the eye when the lamp is seen from the side a downwardly-projecting ovoid shape B, which terminates in the middle of a dished portion C, which is radially corrugated, as indicated at c.
The characteristic lfeature of the design is the bell-shaped upper portion with the spreading edge surrounding the ovoid portion B, with the dished portion O at its lower end.
What I claim is- The design for an electric lamp, substantially as shown and described.
