To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WALTER S. In the drawings forming part of this specification, Figure 1 is a side elevation; Fig. 2, a plan View, and Fig. 3 a sectional elevation through one part of the side-bar.
The side-bar comprises the inverted-U- shaped yokes 1 and 2, the yoke 1 being of greater vertical dimensions than 2, the central rectangular bar 3, extending between the inner legs 4 5 of the said yokes, and the extensions 6 7 from the outer legs 8 9 of said yokes, the extension 6 being between the top and bottom of the leg 9 and the extension 7 lying Vertically along the leg 8 and having transverse apertures 10, the extension 6 having a recessed extension 11 at the end.
The legs at 5 8 9 of both yokes are recessed at 12, as shown in Fig. 3 in section and in dotted lines, Figs. 1 and 2, the crown 13 of the yoke 2 being swelled out and provided with an interior circular recess, the latter being indicated by dotted lines in Figs. 1 and 2.
The crown-14 of the yoke 2 is provided with semicircular projections 15, and from said yoke extends an arm 16 over the bar 3.
Both of the yokes 1 and 2 are of greater transverse thickness than the parts 3 6 '7.
Having described my invention, I claim- The design for a truck side-bar, substantially as herein shown and described.
Signed at Philadelphia, county of Philadelphia, and State of Pennsylvania, this 5th day of August, 1898.
