Description

DESIGN.
E. ADAMS. TRIMMING FDR GARMENT SUPPORTERS.
No. 28,879. Patented June 14,1898.
WITNESSES: INVENTOR ATTORNEY O UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
GEORGE E. ADAMS, OF NEXV BRITAIN, CONNECTICUT.
DESIGN FOR TRIMMING FOR GARMENT-SUPPORTERS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,879, dated June 14, 1898.
Application filed January 19, 1898. Serial No. 667,174. Term of patent '7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, GEORGE E. ADAMS, a citizen of the United States, residing at New Britain, Hartford county, Connecticut, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in a Design for Trimmings for Garment- Supporters, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
My invention relates to a new and original design for a metal trimminglor garment-supporters; and the same is shown by the accompanying drawing, in which the design is illustrated in perspective.
The leading feature of this design is the outline and form of the exposed portion of a suspender buckle or loop, and the same may be described as follows:
Referring to the accompanying drawing, it will be seen that my design comprises a metal portion in the form of arounded convex bead substantially centrally located and having projecting in opposite directions therefrom wing-like members the diameters of which increase slightly as they approach the outer ends of said Wings. These wings are shaped so as to give to the eye the impression of a convex surface, and the extreme outer ends of said wings are rounded, as shown. Centrally located is an ornamentation in the form of a section of a ring, which depends from the central bead previously referred to, the ends of said section merging into said bead. This ring-section is shaped so that the visible portion is convex, as indicated in the drawing.
What I claim is The design for a metal trimming for a garmentsupporter, substantially as herein shown and described.
Signed at New York city, New York, this 18th day of January, 1898.
GEORGE E. ADAMS.
