TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Be it known that I, JAMES PATERSON, of Elizabeth, in the county of Union, and State of New Jersey, have invented a new and improved Design for Gil-Cloth Pattern; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to understand the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part of this specification.v

The drawing represents a plan or top view of my new design.

This invention relates to a new design for olcloth pattern, which is composed of small squares arranged in the manner shown in the drawing.

The pattern is of square form, as shown, and within the main square A is arranged a diagonal square, B, the sides of which reach to the centres of the sides of the square, A. In the middle of each of the sides of the Square, B, is a small square, C, as shown. The sides of the square, B, consist of three borders a, b, and c, having central ornaments d, as shown. On the outside of the square, B, are arranged three borders e,f, and g, having central ornaments z, as shown. In the corners of the square, A, are arranged erna-mental congurations, iz', as shown, and a central ornament, D, is arranged within the square, B.
