DESIGN FOR A GRATE-FRAME.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,071, dated December 21, 1897.

Be it known that I, THOMAS R. KENNEDY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Rochester, in the county of Monroe and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Grate-Fram es, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
My present design is for a grate-frame applicable to stoves and ranges, and the leading features are the substantially open-top frame and the end plates provided with theinwardly and downwardly extending flanges.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of my design; Fig. 2, a longitudinal sectional view, and Fig. 3 an end view of the same.
Similar reference-letters in the several figures indicate similar parts.
A indicates the substantially rectangular open-top plate of the grate-frame, and B the end plates extending downwardly therefrom and having the flange B on the outer sides, waved at the lower edge, and beneath this and extending downwardly and toward the center are the flanges B C C indicate apertures in the end plates, and on the outer side plates are the verticallyextending ribs 0, and beneath them the curved flanges d CZ. The flanges d and ribs 0 could be dispensed with without essentially altering the design.
At one end of one of the end plates B is a vertically-extending projection or lug D.
I claim- The design for a grate-frame, substantially as herein shown and described.
