DESIGN FOR A ROOF-PLATE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,349, dated May 28, 1895.

Application filed March 5, 1895. Serial No. 540,664- Term of patent 14 years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, PETER H. MURPHY, a citizen of the United States, residing at East St. Louis, county of St. Clair, State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Roof-Plates, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, wherein the figure represents a perspective view of a roof-plate ornamented and configured according to my new and original design.

The characteristic feature of my new design for roof-plates, is the inverted U-shaped flanges, which bound three of its sides, said flanges being independent and distinct from each other. The unitary design is rectangular in shape.

The roof plate is plain and fiat in its middle portion while on three of its sides, or two sides and one end, it is ornamented with a marginal flange, of an inverted U shape in cross section. The other end of the plate is plain and unornamented.

What I claim is- The design for roof plates, substantially as herein shown and described.
